University of Strathclyde: The Faculty of Engineering will offer a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards worth 7,000 GBP and 10,000 GBP, to exceptional applicants.

NEW DELHI: The University of Strathclyde has announced two scholarships to all eligible postgraduate-taught, students, enrolling in the Faculty of Engineering in September 2025. The Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships and the Dean’s International Excellence Awards aim to support self-funded, non-EU students pursuing full-time, on-campus courses.
According to the official press release, to mark the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde will offer scholarships worth 5,000 Great British Pound (GBP) to eligible international students. The institute stated that no separate application is required to avail of the scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded automatically and the scholarship amount will be deducted from students' tuition fees.
“The scholarship will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to the student record once payment of the deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from the overall tuition fees,” the official press release said.
The Faculty of Engineering will also offer a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards. These scholarships are worth 7,000 GBP and 10,000 GBP and will be offered to exceptional applicants.
“All eligible students will be considered for the Dean’s Excellence Award and contacted before the deadline of 31 July 2025 if successful,” the press release said.
The criteria to offer Dean’s International Excellence Awards offer include academic excellence (usually a UK first-class undergraduate degree or international equivalent) and the potential to contribute significantly to the Strathclyde community and their future profession upon graduation.

The eligibility criteria to avail of the engineering scholarships are given below.
Scholarships are available for eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling in a full-time course at the University of Strathclyde's Glasgow campus in September 2025.
The scholarships cannot be deferred or transferred to any other entry points.
Applicants who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for these scholarships.
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have received an offer to study on a full-time postgraduate course in September 2025.
Students are eligible for only one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
Applicants who do not meet the required criteria will automatically be excluded from consideration.
The decision made by the Faculty of Engineering regarding the awarding of scholarships is final.
Eligible subjects include Aeronautical engineering, Architecture, Biomedical engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil and environmental engineering, Civil engineering, Design manufacture and engineering management, Electronic and electrical engineering, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical and aerospace engineering, Mechanical engineering, Naval architecture, Naval architecture ocean and marine engineering, Ocean engineering, Product design, Prosthetics and orthotics, Renewable energy.
