Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin releases Hindi translation of research book on Tamil culture

Authored by R Balakrishnan, IAS (Retd.), the book traces the cultural journey from the Sindhu region to Tamil literature. It was prepared with contributions from the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department and the Hindi Sahitya Prachar Samiti.
Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, released the Hindi translation of Pyaadha Ki Yatra: Sindhu Se Vaivai on today, October 6, 2025, at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat. The book, authored by R Balakrishnan, IAS (Retd.), is a research work on Saraaja Mudhvadhaya prepared under the School Education Department.
According to the official press release, Tamil Nadu Secretary N Muruganandham, IAS, received the first copy from the author. The publication was produced with contributions from the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department and the Hindi Sahitya Prachar Samiti.
Book focus and translation
The book traces the cultural journey from the Sindhu region to contemporary Tamil literature and aims to support Hindi literary scholarship. The Hindi translation was prepared in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department. Jyoti Laxmi Agizayar contributed to the translation.

“The book has been published with contributions from the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department and the Hindi Sahitya Prachar Samiti. Mr. R. Balakrishnan highlighted that the work traces the journey from Sindhu to contemporary Tamil culture and literature,” the official press release said.
Officials present at the release included Principal Secretary of the School Education Department, P Vendar Jamakan, IAS; I Lijayani of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department; Director of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Department, MA Arthi, IAS; All India Citizens’ Training Program First Member, JD Renen; and Chief Executive Officer of Prajashan Publication, Adhiti Majakseri.
