Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2026: DME adds 250 new MBBS seats for round 2 admissions

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research Chennai has added 250 more MBBS seats for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2026 round 2 choice filling. Candidates can enter their college and course preferences for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2026 on the official website at tnmedicalselection.net by September 13.

The TN committee will announce the Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026 round 2 seat allotment results on September 15. Candidates will have to download the round 2 provisional allotment order by September 18.

Notably, Tamil Nadu has 37 government medical colleges offering 5349 seats, and its 41 private colleges are offering 8,950 MBBS seats. A total of 14299 MBBS seats have been offered by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for the academic year 2026-27.

NMC has issued a revised seat matrix and added 13,186 new MBBS seats across 836 private and government medical colleges for the academic year 2026-27.
