The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has started the application process for the Class 10 supplementary examinations from today, May 26. Students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the SSLC public examination by securing passing marks can apply for the supplementary exams through their respective schools on or before June 9. SSLC supplementary exams will be conduced between July 8 and July 15 in morning shift between 10 am and 1:15 pm.

Tamil Nadu SSLC results 2026 were declared on May 20 for over 9 lakh students. Those who could not pass the main board exam, applied to appear in supplementary exam to save an academic year.

Private candidates who wish to appear for the July 2026 supplementary examination can also apply between May 26, 2026, and June 6, 2026, on working days from 11 am to 5 pm through designated service centres. Candidates can check the list of service centres on the official website, www.dge.tn.gov.in.

Applicants must carry aadhaar card, passport-size photograph to the exam hall. The examination fee is Rs 125 and online application fee is Rs 70.

Candidates were required to pay an examination fee of Rs 125 per subject along with the prescribed service charges at the application centre.

Regular school students were instructed to submit their applications before July 1, 2026, by 2:30 pm. They were asked to produce copies of their mark sheet or provisional marks certificate, Transfer Certificate (TC), and ESLC certificate wherever applicable. Candidates from CBSE and other recognised boards were also required to submit equivalent certificates and TC. Students appearing under private categories had to submit the necessary educational documents along with a photocopy of the original mark statement issued earlier.

Private candidates who had failed in one or more subjects in previous examinations were allowed to apply online through designated service centres from May 26 to June 9, 2026. Candidates were advised to verify all details carefully before submitting the application form.
