Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2024: Sports quota marking scheme out for MBBS, BDS admission

Check NowNEW DELHI: Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education and Research has announced the marking scheme for allotment of TN NEET UG counselling 2024 seats for candidates under the category eminent sports persons. It also issued a clarification on security money for management quota, resignation facility, and eligibility certificates. Interested candidates should also note that the last date to register for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2024 is August 8.
“The purpose of this quota is to recognize and give weightage to the sports eminence of the candidates and hence marks for sports achievements alone will be considered in ranking the candidates,” the selection committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research said.
Those who wish to apply for the quota will have to submit all the sports certificates along with participation certificates and relevant forms issued by association, federation recognized. However, only one highest achievement in a tournament, among the international, national, state, regional and district, in an academic year will be considered for the reservation.
Marks for recognized international achievement
Selection of the candidate will be based on the marks obtained by the candidate strictly following the guidelines given below. The marking scheme for state, regional, and district-level sports events are different.
