Anna University, Chennai has released the final answer key for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2026). THe final answer key has been prepared post considering the objections raised by students against the provisional key. Candidates can now calculate their scores with the help of marking scheme- multiply the number of correct answers by four and subtract one mark for every incorrect response. The formula used for calculation is: Expected Score = (Number of Correct Responses × 4) − (Number of Incorrect Responses × 1).

TANCET results are expected to be out on May 23. Every year lakhs of students apppear for TAMCET for admission to postgraduate courses such as MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., and M.Plan in colleges across Tamil Nadu.

Steps to check TANCET final answer key 2026
To access the final answer key, students will have to log in using their email address, password and 5-digit captcha code.
- Visit the official website tancet.annauniv.edu
- On homepage, look for the link that reads, "To check the Final Answer Keys Click here"
- On the redirected page, log in using the required details
- Post logging in, answer key will open up on screen
- Go through the same and download it
- Take its printout for future references

As per the schedule, the TANCET 2026 exam for MBA and MCA admissions was held on May 9 in two shifts. MBA exam was conducted from 10 am to 12 noon, while the MCA exam was held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. CEETA-PG 2026 was held on May 10 in a single shift from 10 am to 12 noon at 15 test centres across the state.
