Teachers Day Quiz: Teachers' Day is celebrated across the country in memory of former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher-author and India's second president who was born on September 5, 1888. His contributions to the field of education are exemplary.
In 1962, the tradition of celebrating Teachers' Day was started in honour of Radhakrishnan and all of India’s teachers. This year, 46 teachers from across the country have been selected to be honoured on Teachers’ Day 2022 . President Droupadi Murmu will award the distinguished teachers for the first time since joining the top-most constitutional office in India.
