Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU) has invited applications for five-year integrated law degree courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates can apply for the law courses at TNDALU’s official website tndalu.ac.in

The applications will be accepted through online mode for courses offered at the School of Excellence in Law, Chennai, and affiliated government and private law colleges across Tamil Nadu.

The online application process will begin on May 18 and continue till June 5, 2026. The admissions will cover programmes such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons) and BCA LLB (Hons) at the School of Excellence in Law, besides the regular five-year BA LLB course in affiliated colleges.

TNDALU Law admissions 2026: Eligibility

For honours law courses offered at the School of Excellence in Law, candidates from the general category, including NRI applicants, must secure at least 70% marks in the qualifying examination, while SC,ST candidates require a minimum of 60%. Students from HSC, CBSE, ISC, diploma and polytechnic streams are eligible to apply.

The university further clarified that candidates applying for BCom LLB (Hons.) should have studied commerce-related subjects, while BCA LLB (Hons.) aspirants must have studied computer science or equivalent subjects in higher secondary education.

For affiliated government and private law colleges in Tamil Nadu, the eligibility criteria are comparatively lower. Admission to the five-year BA LLB course will also be based on merit and reservation norms prescribed by the Tamil Nadu government.

The application fees vary across programmes and categories. TNDALU said honours programme applicants under the NRI quota will have to obtain forms physically from the Law Admissions Office and pay the prescribed fee through demand draft.

The university has also stated that application fees paid through cash, cheque, challan or other offline modes will not be accepted and the fee once paid will not be refunded. Notifications for three-year LLB (Hons.) and two-year LLM programmes will be issued separately later on the university website.

TNDALU 2026: How to apply

Candidates can follow the below steps to apply for TNDALU 2026 entrance test;

  • Visit the TNDALU admission portal and complete the new registration process using a valid mobile number and email ID.
  • Log in with the generated credentials and fill in personal, address and parent-related details.
  • Select the preferred law programme and choose between the School of Excellence in Law or affiliated colleges.
  • Enter qualifying examination marks and academic information in the application form.
  • Upload scanned copies of required documents, photographs and signatures in the prescribed size format.
  • Pay the application processing fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
  • Review all entered details carefully before final submission and download the confirmation page for future reference.

The university stated that admissions will be processed entirely through online mode.
