TNEA 2026 round 1 seat allotment out at tneaonline.org; confirm by July 25

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has released Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2026) tentative seat allotment. Candidates participating in the first round of TNEA counselling can now log in to the official portal and check their provisional allotment status. Candidates must confirm their allotted seat by July 25.

Notice on official website reads, "TNEA 2026 Tentative allotment has been released for first round candidates. Kindly log in and confirm your allotment on or before 25-07-2026. If you fail to confirm, the allotment may be cancelled." Candidates must review the allotment details carefully and submit their confirmation before the deadline to avoid losing their seat.

Steps to check TNEA 2026 tentative seat allotment

Candidates can follow these steps to access their allotment status:

  • Go to the official TNEA website at tneaonline.org
  • On homepage, click on the TNEA 2026 candidate login link
  • Enter the registered email ID/mobile number and password
  • Complete the security verification and log in
  • Tentative seat allotment status will be displayed on the screen
  • Review the allotted college and course details
  • Submit the required confirmation
  • Download and save a copy of the allotment details

After checking the tentative allotment, candidates must confirm whether they wish to accept the allotted seat within the prescribed deadline.

Documents required for TNEA counselling

Those accepting the allotment will have to complete the subsequent admission formalities as per TNEA counselling schedule. They should also keep the required admission documents ready.

  • Application form printout
  • Rank card/provisional allotment order
  • Class 10, 11 and 12 mark sheet and pass certificate
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Aadhaar card or any valid government photo ID
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Community certificate (SC/ST/SCA/MBC/DNC/BC/BCM), if applicable
  • Income certificate, if claiming fee concessions or scholarships
  • PwD (Differently Abled) medical certificate issued by a Medical Board
  • Sports quota certificates

The Directorate will announce further instructions regarding final allotment, fee payment and reporting to the allotted institution on the official website.

The Directorate of Technical Education conducts TNEA process for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by government, government-aided and participating self-financing engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu.
