TNPSC 2026 recruitment exam calendar out; group 4 vacancies rise to 5,307

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has announced the TNPSC 2026 annual calendar 2026 for group 1, 2, 4 and technical services exams. TNPSC has also added 645 vacancies to the previously announced Group 4 vacancies.

The total posts for the TNPSC Group 4 recruitment exam 2025 have been increased to 5,307. The commission announced the TNPSC Group 4 recruitment 2025 notice for 3,935 vacancies for Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant, Typist, Stenographer and Forest Guard and other posts.

“An addendum for an additional 727 vacancies was released on September 26. Currently, an addendum for a further 645 vacancies has been released,” the official TNPSC notice reads.

Compared with the average number of vacancies filled per financial year (3,560) in the 2022 and 2024 notifications, excluding Forester and Forest Guard posts, an additional 1,541 vacancies will be filled in 2025. The announced increase in vacancies will give aspiring candidates more opportunities for government jobs in Tamil Nadu.

However, as per the commission’s official update, for TNPSC civil services exam Group 4 posts certificate verifications, if candidates who were in government service while applying online and candidates who joined government service after applying online do not submit the No Objection Certificate (NOC) during original certificate verification, their application will be rejected, and they will not be allowed for counselling.
