Tripura NEET UG counselling 2024 round 1 choice filling begins today; enter options in order of preference

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tripura has extended the choice-filling process for Tripura National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 counselling till August 27. Candidates who registered for the counselling process can complete the Tripura NEET UG 2024 choice filling through the official website, dmeonline.tripura.gov.in.

As per the schedule, the Tripura NEET UG counselling process has been extended from August 24 to August 27. The board also offered a 24-hour window, active until 3 pm on August 23, 2024, for candidates to recheck and upload the correct documents. During this period, candidates were allowed to review their previously submitted documents and make any necessary adjustments.

Tripura NEET 2024 choice-filling process was earlier scheduled to begin on August 23 has been extended by one day. “In this regard, the choice filling is hereby extended from 24-08-2024, 12 PM to 27-08-2024, 12 PM,” the official notice read.

Tripua NEET UG Counselling 2024: Post choice-filling events

• Seat Allotment: The authorities will process the choices submitted by the candidates based on their NEET scores, preferences, and available seats in various medical and dental colleges in Tripura. The seat allotment is done according to the merit and reservation criteria.

• Acceptance of Allotted Seat: Candidates who are allotted a seat must decide whether to accept it. If they accept the seat, they need to download the provisional allotment letter from the website.

• Reporting to the Allotted College: After accepting the seat, candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified time frame. They need to carry the required documents, pay the admission fees, and complete the formalities for admission.

• Document Verification: At the college, candidates' documents will be verified to confirm their eligibility. This includes verifying identity, NEET score, category, academic qualifications, etc.

• Upgradation Round: If candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seat, they may opt for an upgradation in subsequent counseling rounds (if available). If a candidate gets an upgraded seat, they must follow the same process of reporting to the new college.
