The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has concluded the TS intermediate 1st year Mathematics, Zoology and History board exams 2026 today, March 5. The exam timings for all the three streams were same. TS Inter Maths, Zoology and History paper began on 9 am and concluded at 12 noon. Students appearing for the TS Intermediate examinations were permitted to enter the exam hall only with a valid TS Inter hall ticket. The board has clarified that no additional authorisation or signature from the principal was required for entry.

For the TS Inter 1st year exams 2026 today, out of 4,29,600 registered candidates, 4,17,656 students were present, and 11,944 were absent, resulting in a 97.21 % attendance. As per the report, a total of 3 malpractice cases were reported today: 1 in Peddapalli, 1 in Nizamabad and 1 in Rangareddy.
Subject experts and various school heads will share the TS Inter 2026 1st year Maths, Zoology and History paper analysis after 12 noon. Students will soon be able to download the TS Intermediate 1st Year Maths, Zoology and History question papers PDF through the TSBIE official website. They will also be able to download the TS Intermediate 1st Year Question Papers with answers shortly.
The Mathematics 1B paper will carry a total of 75 marks, while the Zoology examination will be evaluated for 100 marks, including 60 marks for theory and 40 marks for practical assessment.
The History Paper-I for TS inter first-year students will also carry a total of 100 marks for theory. As per the board’s guidelines, students must secure at least 35% marks in each subject to qualify.
Earlier, TGBIE conducted the TS inter 1st year practical examinations from February 2 to February 21, 2026, ahead of the theory exams.
Candidates appearing for the TS inter exams 2026 should carefully follow the important guidelines issued by the board.
Students appearing for the TS Intermediate examinations will be permitted to enter the exam hall only with a valid TS Inter hall ticket. The board has clarified that no additional authorisation or signature from the principal is required for entry. For the first time, the hall tickets have been issued with a QR code to assist students in locating their examination centres easily.
Candidates must report to their exam centres by 8 am, one hour before the scheduled start time. To ensure smooth conduct of the exams, CCTV cameras have been installed across all 1,495 centres and connected to a central Command Control Room equipped with 31 screens and a video wall at the TGBIE headquarters. Nearly 7,500 cameras are being used for monitoring.
In addition, flying squads and district-level high-power committees headed by Collectors and Superintendents of Police have been formed to curb malpractice. Xerox shops located near examination centres will remain closed during exam hours, and the board has warned that strict legal action, including criminal cases, will be taken against anyone involved in copying or impersonation.
