NEW DELHI: Over 9 lakh candidates are awaiting the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December results. Following the delay in declaring the UGC NET December 2023 results, candidates have started demanding the NTA for clarity and urged the testing agency to announce soon. Several aspirants also talked about the stress caused due to the delay and mental health issues.
The NTA conducted the UGC NET December 2023 exam for 9,45,918 candidates from December 6 to 19 at 292 exam cities across the country. The answer key for all 83 papers, except Archaeology subject, was uploaded on the official website. Later the UGC NET answer key for Archaeology paper was published and candidates were allowed to challenge till January 10.
Aspirants asks NTA to declare UGC NET results 2023
The NTA had informed candidates recently that the NTA NET result date has been revised to January 17, however, it has not been declared yet.
"A fuming NET candidate that saw late-comers get shooed off from the exam centre for missing the closing time by a margin of minutes and has been waiting for the results to be declared for over a day now," Jaeya Tansin said.
Angry over the delay, Kaushik Kumar Deka on X wrote: “As usual pathetic. Such a failure. Couldn't even declare the results of UGC NET on time despite prior notice. Starting from you everyone in UGC should resign and new officials needs to be appointed. Not even one exam or one result without disruption.”
Another aspirant, Mangaleshwar Maurya, wrote on X: "NTA stands for National Tension Agency. This is an organisation, which government established to aggravate tension, anxiety and depression among UGC NET aspirants. Once again NTA has proved its aims and objectives by not releasing the UGC NET Results on its given date 17 Jan 2024."
“It's mind-boggling how educational institutions, supposedly the holder of knowledge and progress, can't seem to figure out how to release results on time. We're not asking for miracles here; all we want is our UGC NET results,” Pritish Chatterjee wrote on X.
