NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2023) results for the December 2022 session exam on Thursday, April 13. Candidates who appeared in the exam will be able to download the UGC NET result 2023 and scorecards from the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has also released subject-wise and category-wise UGC NET cut-off marks and cut-off percentile. As per the final UGC NET answer key of the December 2022 session exam, a total of 101 questions were dropped.
The UGC NET 2023 result date was confirmed by UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar. UGC NET December 2022 session exam was held in five phases between February 21 and March 2.
In the December 2022 session, a total of 8,34,537 candidates appeared for the UGC NET exams. The NTA uploaded the final answer key for NET exams on April 6. Based on the revised final answer key, the NTA NET results will be prepared and declared. The testing agency also uses a normalisation method to declare results as the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.

UGC NET exam is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.
The percentile scores are calculated on the basis of the relative performances of all the appearing candidates in UGC NET December 2022 session exam. 1. For multi-shift papers, raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score (percentile).
