UGC NET 2024 is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the following roles.  

• Award Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor
• Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD
• Admission to PhD only

As per the marking scheme for UGC NET 2024, candidates will receive two marks for every correct answer. There is no penalty for incorrect answers, and unanswered questions will not be awarded any marks.

Applicants who successfully clear the examination become eligible for a UGC NET 2024 salary ranging between Rs. 30,000 to 60,000 per month.
