UGC NET Result 2026 Date LIVE: June exam scorecard soon; final answer key, qualifying marks

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will publish the UGC-NET June 2026 result and final answer keys this week. Earlier today, the agency said that the final answer keys and results for UGC-NET covering 84 subjects, along with the Joint CSIR-NET and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD) 2026 examinations, will be published on the NTA website this week.

Candidates who appeared for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination can check the result through the official UGC-NET website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, once the result link is activated.

Exams for English, Commerce and Sociology are being conducted again because an NTA-appointed committee found multiple errors in the question papers, including factual, typographical, translation, grammatical and other errors. Candidates should know that the results for 84 subjects would not be delayed because of the re-examination of three other subjects.

UGC NET June 2026 session

NTA conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination from June 22 to June 30. The examination was conducted across 87 subjects for determining eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programmes.

UGC NET final answer key 2026

Before the preparation of result, NTA completes the answer-key challenge process. The provisional answer key and recorded responses were made available to candidates, who were given an opportunity to challenge provisional answers.

The final answer key is prepared after consideration of valid challenges.

Once NTA activates the result link, candidates can check their UGC-NET June 2026 result by following these steps:

• Visit the official UGC-NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
• Look for the UGC-NET June 2026 result link under the latest announcements
• Click on the result link and enter the required login credentials
• Submit the details to download scorecards
• Download and save the result for future references

The minimum aggregate qualifying requirement is 40% for General and General-EWS candidates and 35% for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD/PwBD categories. Candidates must secure the required aggregate marks across both papers.
