The UGC NET December is the eligibility exam for assistant professor posts. UGC NET 2023 score will also be used for awarding JRF to PhD students.

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency has hosted the link of UGC NET December 2023 admit card for exams to be conducted from December 6 to 8 on the official websites, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in. The NTA is conducting the University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (NTA UGC NET 2023) for 83 subjects from December 6 to 14.
Candidates clearing the UGC NET December 2023 will be eligible for assistant professor recruitments of various universities and colleges. The exam score will also be used for grant junior research fellowships (JRF) to PhD aspirants.
The UGC NET December 2023 will have two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UGC NET Paper 1 will be general, having questions related to teaching, research, general knowledge. The UGC NET Paper 2 will be based on the subject chosen by candidates.

Candidates appearing for the exam practice for the respective subjects by accessing the previous years’ question papers on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. They can also access the UGC NET syllabus in PDF format on the official website.
The UGC said the aggregate scores of UGC NET 2023 Paper 1 and Paper 2 for awarding JRF and/or eligibility for assistant professorship. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not eligible to be considered for the award of JRF, it added.
