UGC NET 2025 admit card for December 31 and January 2 exams is issued on ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates should carry the printed admit card, a valid photo ID, and complete the self-declaration before reaching the exam centre.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued exam day instructions for candidates appearing in the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) December 2025. The UGC NET December 2025 exam will begin from tomorrow, December 31 and will be conducted till January 7.
As per the guidelines, candidates will have to carry a printed copy of the UGC-NET December 2025 admit card, including all pages, along with a valid original photo identity proof. The NTA states that entry to the exam centre will be allowed strictly as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances.
Candidates are also asked to verify that the question paper provided at the exam centre matches the subject opted by them, as mentioned on the admit card. Any mismatch should be brought to the attention of the examination authorities immediately. “Ensure the Question Paper matches your opted subject as mentioned on the Admit Card,” it said.
The UGC NET examination will be conducted for a duration of three hours in two shifts each day. The first shift is scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second shift will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates with 40% or more disability, the NTA has allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour. Scribe facilities will be provided as per the prescribed norms and guidelines.

The UGC NET 2025 exam guidelines further state that only limited items are permitted inside the exam hall. These include a transparent water bottle, the printed admit card, passport-size photographs, and a valid photo identity card. Electronic devices, mobile phones, thick-soled footwear, and garments with large buttons are strictly prohibited.
Candidates will have to complete the self-declaration or undertaking printed on the admit card in advance. They are required to paste their photograph in the designated space and ensure a clear left-hand thumb impression before reaching the exam centre.
The UGC NET December 2025 will be conducted for a total of 85 subjects on December 31, January 2, January 3, January 5, January 6, and January 7. The testing agency has already issued the UGC NET admit card 2025 for the December 31 and January 2 exams. Candidates can download the admit card through the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
