UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: NTA advises candidates to travel early amid BRICS summit traffic curbs

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has urged candidates appearing for the UGC NET 2026 re-exam to plan their travel in advance to avoid delays in reaching the exam centre amid the 18th BRICS Summit. NTA has issued an advisory for UGC NET 2026 test takers urging them to make travel arrangements beforehand to avoid delays.

BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 11 to 13.

Therefore, strict security measures have been put in place, and traffic diversion and restrictions are expected to be imposed by Delhi traffic police and other authorities in various parts of the city.

NTA has advised the students to report to the exam centre as per the time mentioned in the UGC NET re-exam admit card 2026.

UGC NET Re-Exam 2026: Advisory for students

NTA has issued an advisory for the students appearing for the UGC NET 2026 re-exam. The details are as follows.

• Plan journey to the exam centre in advance
• Keep sufficient time for travel in view of possible traffic restrictions, diversions and congestion
• Check the latest traffic advisories issued by the Delhi Traffic Police and other authorities before starting journey
• Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time indicated on admit card.

NTA clarified that the UGC-NET exam centres 2026 are not located in the areas expected to be directly affected by the major restrictions; however, leaving for exam centres in advance is suggested.

UGC NET 2026 re-exam will be held for English, commerce, and sociology subjects at various locations in the country on September 9 and 10. The re-exam is being held after several spelling and factual errors were found in the three subjects of the UGC NET papers 2026.
