The UGC NET 2023 result is expected soon. Once the result is out it will be available for download on the official website- ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Last year, the cut-off for general category candidates for different subjects was as follows:

• Political Science - 99.47 percentile
• History - 99.65 percentile
• Commerce - 99.45 percentile
• Education - 99.53 percentile
• Bengali - 99.65 percentile
• Hindi - 99.47 percentile
• English - 99.75 percentile
• Geography - 99.37 percentile

The NTA has decided to evaluate students for UGC NET 2023 exam on the basis of the following marking scheme.

• Correct answer: +2
• Incorrect answer: No negative mark
• Unanswered/marked for review: 0 (no marks given)
• Incorrect or ambiguous question/has multiple correct answers: +2 to those who have chosen one of the correct answers.
• Incorrect or dropped questions: +2 to those who have attempted the question.

The UGC NET application 2023 ended on January 23, 2023.

As per the UGC NET cut off 2023 notice, the minimum qualifying mark for the general category is 40% whereas for the reserved category is 35%.

The UGC NET provisional answer key was released on March 23 and candidates were asked to raise objections against it, if any on the official UGC NET website- ugcnet.nta.in.

Candidates will be able to check their UGC NET result at the official website- ugcnet.nta.nic.in and ntaresults.nic.in.

While the age limit for JRF is 30 years, for the post of assistant professors, there is no age limit.

As soon as the UGC NET result link gets active at ugcnet.nta.in, candidates will be able to check the NTA UGC NET December 2022.

There is no official date for the UGC NET result 2023. The NTA will release the results on the official UGC NET website- ugcnet.nta.in. 

No there are no ranks for UGC NET December 2022 exam. As per the UGC policy, 6 percent of those who appear in both papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both papers will be declared qualified.

Candidates will have to use the application number and dates of birth to download UGC NET 2023 result.

The age limit for JRF is 30 years and there is no age limit for the post of assistant professor.

The record of the UGC NET December 2022 result will be preserved till 90 days from the date of declaration of the result.

The total mark in the UGC NET exam is 300.

The minimum UGC NET 2023 qualifying mark for the general category is 40% whereas for the reserved category is 35%.

The UGC NET 2023 exam will consist of two papers - Paper 1 (General Aptitude) and Paper 2 (subject-specific). Both papers will be conducted in computer-based mode. Paper 1 will have 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and Paper 2 will have 100 MCQs.

There is no negative marking in UGC NET. 

The eligibility criteria for UGC NET 2023 are as follows:

• The candidate must have a Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
• For reserved category candidates, the minimum required marks are 50%.
• There is no age limit for UGC NET.

The minimum qualifying marks for UGC NET vary for each category. For General and OBC category candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are 40% aggregate marks in both papers taken together. For SC/ST/PwD category candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are 35% aggregate marks in both papers taken together.

Candidates can check the UGC NET result on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). To view the result, it is necessary to log in using the application number and password.

The UGC NET result is usually declared within a month after the exam is conducted. The result announcement date is usually notified on the official website.

Those who will find any discrepancy in your UGC NET result will need to immediately contact the exam conducting authority and inform them about the issue. One can also request a re-evaluation of the result if there is an error.

As per the UGC NET 2023 marking scheme, there are no negative marks for the incorrect responses.

No ranks will be allotted to the candidates who appeared in UGC NET December 2022.  "As per the UGC policy, 6 percent of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers will be declared NET qualified," said the official UGC NET website.

 As per the final UGC NET December 2022 answer key, a total of 85 questions have been dropped from all the papers. The provisional UGC NET answer key was published on March 23, while the final answer key was issued on April 6.

The UGC NET result for the December 2022 session exam will be announced anytime soon. The UGC NET 2023 answer keys for all the shifts of exam have already been released.

• In the events of the percentiles for the multi-shifts being dissimilar or unequal, the lowest will be the eligibility cut-off for that category for all candidates (i.e. all shifts). For Example: In the examination held in two shifts, if the 40% marks correspond to a Percentile score of 78 in Shift 1 and 79 in Shift 2, then all those equal to or above 78 percentiles (Percentile score of 100 to 78) in both shifts will become eligible in General Category. Similar method will be adopted for the other categories to determine eligibility cut-offs. In case the examination is held in a greater number of shifts the same principle shall apply.

• 15% of the seats for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates.
• 7.5% of seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
• 27% of the seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates 
• 10% of the seats for General-Economically Weaker Sections (General- EWS) candidates.
• 5% of the seats in the above mentioned categories for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability will be reserved horizontally.

Considering the request of candidates to fix the upper age limit to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), NTA decided the last date to determine the upper age limit for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2022 to be January 1, 2022 instead of January 1, 2023.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) asked higher educational institutions (HEIs) to ensure the inclusion of external subject expert in the committee formed for the upgradation of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). UGC warned that any proposal for upgradation without compliance to the guidelines will not be considered.

• Each question carries 2 marks.
• For each correct response, candidate will get 2 marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
• No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.
• If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit.
• If a question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks will be awarded to only to those candidates who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error. 

UGC NET result 2023 will be declared on the official website -- ugcnet.nta.nic.in. 

UGC NET December 2022 was conducted in five phases spanning from February 21 to March 16.
