The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June 2026 final answer key on the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To download the answer key for 84 subjects, applicants can enter the details such as application number and password. UGC NET Result 2026 Date LIVE

The final answer key released on August 28 does not apply to candidates who appeared for English, Commerce and Sociology, as the NTA will reconduct these examinations on September 9 and 10, 2026, following its August 16 public notice.

The official notice reads, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the UGC-NET June 2026 examination for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for 'award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor', 'appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.' 'admission to Ph.D. only' in Indian universities and colleges., as applicable, in various subjects."

UGC-NET Final Answer Key 2026: Steps to check

To check the final answer key, follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Log in using the details such as application number and password
  • On the candidate homepage, click on the 'Click to View Final Answer Key' button
  • The subject-wise final answer key will be displayed on the screen
  • Download the final answer key save the answer key for future reference

The notice further states, “For any clarification related to the UGC-NET June 2026 examination, candidates may contact the NTA Help Desk through the details available on the official website.”

UGC NET June 2026: Qualifying marks

Candidates from the general and general-EWS categories need to score at least 40% in aggregate, while the qualifying threshold is 35% for reserved category candidates, including OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD/PwBD. The required marks must be secured collectively across both papers.
