UP Board Class 10, 12 Exam 2023: Over 4 lakh missed exams today, no cheating reported, says UPMSP

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) today conducted the UP Board high school and intermediate exams at 2,564 exam centers. Over 4 lakh students were marked absent in the day 2 of UP Board exams 2023. The UP Board will conclude the UPMSP Class 12th exam on March 4 and Class 10th exam on March 3.

The state board conducts the UPMSP Class 10, 12 exams in two shifts- shift 1 is from 8 AM to 11:15 AM and the second shift between 2 PM and 5:30 PM.
In the first phase, 102 students were marked absent in the high school exam, while 461 candidates were absent in intermediate. In the second shift, for high school music vocal paper was conducted out of 10,104 registered students, 461 were absent.

70,795 students were registered for intermediate's vocational paper, out of which 3,338 were absent. In total 3,799 students were absent in shift 2 alone, the board said. “No student was found cheating in any shift,” it added. Overall, 4,362 students missed the UP Board exam on February 17.
Students appearing for UP Board Class 10, 12 exams will be given 15 minutes extra time to read the question paper. They are advised to not carry any barred items inside the exam hall. To prevent the use of unfair means , the board said that online monitoring of each examination center is being done from two control rooms set up in Lucknow.
About 58.8 lakh students (58,85,745) are appearing for the UP board 10th, 12th exam 2023, of which 32,46,780 are male and 26,38,965 are female candidates, as per the data shared by the UPMSP.
As per the UP Board exam date sheet 2023, the next exam for both UP Board 10th and 12th is on February 20. Class 10 student will appear for home science, while Class 12 students will appear in accountancy and geography papers.
