NEW DELHI: The Director General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh has debarred 81 candidates from UP NEET PG counselling 2024 for admission to postgraduate medical programmes through the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET PG) 2024. The students have been debarred from 2024-25 PG medical admissions for not joining the seat allotted to them in the stray vacancy round last year.

As per the NEET PG admission guidelines issued last year, “If any candidate does not take admission after allotment from stray vacancy round, then the security amount deposited by such candidates will be confiscated and they will be banned for UP NEET PG Counseling 2024-25”.
The DGME has issued a list of debarred MD, MS candidates with their names, roll number, NEET PG rank, allotted institute, allotted course, and allotment date.
Meanwhile, the DGME announced UP NEET PG counselling dates 2024 and issued instructions for aspirants. Accordingly, the facility for registration and payment of security deposit will commence from September 23. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to apply for the counselling on upneet.gov.in till September 28.
Applicants will be required to submit a registration fee of Rs 3,000 online to complete the registration process. The authorities clarified that the registration fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The security amount is Rs 30,000 for MD, MS, diploma, and DNB seats in government colleges and Rs 2 lakh for PG seats in private medical colleges. It is mandatory for the candidates to deposit the security amount online. On depositing a security amount of Rs 2 lakh, the candidate will be eligible for counseling for private and government sector seats.
Candidates whose security amount is not deposited will not be eligible for choice filling. Moreover, the disability certificates of disabled candidates will be valid only in the format issued from the centers prescribed by the union government.
