UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025: Selection will include written exam, PET, PST, document verification, and medical examination.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the written exam date for Uttar Pradesh Home Guards recruitment 2025. According to the notification, the UP police home guard recruitment 2025 exam will be conducted on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026.
The UP home guard recruitment exam is conducted to fill a total of 41,424 vacancies across 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh. These include 16,650 posts for General category candidates, 4,331 for EWS, 11,090 for OBC, 8,645 for SC, and 808 for ST candidates.
The UP police home guard written exam 2025 will be conducted in offline mode. The exam will have 100 questions based on General Knowledge, with each question carrying one mark, making the total 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes, and the qualifying marks required to pass the exam are 25 per cent.

UP Police Home Guard Exam 2025: Selection process
The selection process for UP police home guard recruitment 2025 will include multiple stages. Candidates will first appear for the written examination, followed by the preparation of a merit list based on their performance. Shortlisted candidates will then undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), after which document verification will be conducted. The final stage of the selection process will be the medical examination.
The last date to register for the UP Home Guard Recruitment Exam 2025 was December 17, 2025. Candidates were given an opportunity to make corrections in their application forms between December 18 and 21, 2025. The board has not yet announced the UP home guard admit card release date.
“Candidates are expected to regularly visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board http://uppbpb.gov.in for further important instructions. It is also informed that all examination-related information and instructions will be provided only through the Board’s official website,” the official notice said.
