Check NowThe University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has announced the exam dates for the Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT 2026). The engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be held from January 22 to 24. Eligible candidates can apply for the UPESEAT 2026 on the official website, upes.ac.in, by January 20.
To complete the UPESEAT registration, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,750 online.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates who have completed Class 10 and Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks, including at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12, are eligible to apply for the UPESEAT 2026 entrance examination.
For BTech mathematics and computing programmes, candidates must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 70% marks.
Candidates who submit the UPESEAT 2026 application form before the deadline will receive their admit cards. The admit cards will be available on the official UPES website.
UPESEAT exam pattern 2026
The UPES Engineering Aptitude Test 2026 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode with a duration of two hours. The examination window will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.
Students can log in during the given time to start the online test, and the timer will begin as soon as they log in.
The UPESEAT question paper will have four sections—mathematics or biology, physics, chemistry, and English language comprehension—with a total of 125 questions. Each section will have 35 questions, while the English language section will have 20 questions.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the UPESEAT or JEE Mains (qualified JEE score).
