UPPSC announces total number of candidates to be shortlisted for mains and interview

NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj has released a notification on the official website uppsc.up.nic.in related to the number of shortlisted candidates promoted to the mains as well as the interview stage of exams conducted by UPPSC. The notification states that, candidates 15 times the total number of vacancies will be deemed qualified to appear in the mains stage of any recruitment exam, while candidates 3 times the total number of vacancies will be qualified from the mains stage to appear in the interview/personality test. The UPPSC PCS notification 2021 is for all the exams conducted by UPPSC (except PCS Judicial).

As per the vacancies released for the recruitment of UPPSC PCS notification 2021 and ACF/RFO 2021 there are 400 and 15 vacancies released respectively. The rule can be easily understood by the following table -

This rule will be implied for the upcoming exams such as the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (P) exam-2021, Assistant Conservator Of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer (RFO) 2021, followed by all the other exams which will fall suit.

Which exams does UPPSC Conducts?

The UPPSC is the exam conducting authority of Uttar Pradesh, UPPSC conducts PCS exam (Provincial Civil Services), AE (Assistant Engineer), ACF/RFO (Assistant Conservator Of Forest/Range Forest Officer), (Provincial Civil Services Judicial) and Combined State/Lower Subordinate Examination.

UPPSC PCS 2021 Exam Details

The UPPSC PCS preliminary exam is scheduled to be conducted on October 24, 2021. The UPPSC PCS 2021 notification was released on February 02, 2021. The UPPSC PCS prelims exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 13, but got postponed due to COVID-19 second wave pandemic.
