UPSC begins CDS 2, NDA 2 registration 2026 at upsconline.nic.in; apply by June 9

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the registration process for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 and National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (NDA) 2 examinations 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the UPSC CDS, NDA exams 2026 through the official website, upsconline.nic.in.

According to the schedule, the last date to fill the application form for UPSC CDS 2 and NDA 2 exam is June 9. The exam will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode on September 13. For CDS 2, the exam will be conducted at 84 test centres, while NDA 2 will be held at 86 centres.

A total of 394 posts have been announced for the UPSC NDA 2 2026 exam, while 451 vacancies are available through the UPSC CDS 2 2026 recruitment exam.

Candidates applying for the UPSC CDS 2 2026 exam are required to pay an application fee of Rs 200, except female, SC, and ST candidates, who are exempted. For the UPSC NDA 2 2026 exam, the application fee is Rs 100.

UPSC CDS 2, NDA 2 Application Form 2026: How to Apply?

Follow the instructions below to fill the application form for the UPSC CDS 2 and NDA 2 exam 2026.

  • Go to the official UPSC website, upsconline.nic.in
  • On the homepage, go to the “Account Creation” section for new candidates
  • Register using your email ID, mobile number, and other required details
  • Verify your email ID and mobile number, create a password, and submit
  • Log in using your registered email ID and password, mobile number and OTP, or universal registration number and password
  • Fill the UPSC NDA 2 or CDS 2 application form 2026.
  • Pay the UPSC NDA, CDS application fee through debit, credit card, UPI, or net banking
  • Choose your preferred exam centre
  • Check all details carefully and submit the NDA 2 or CDS 2 application form.

The UPSC CDS 2026 selection process includes a written exam and an interview for personality assessment. The written exam will have three papers — English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. Each paper will carry 100 marks, and candidates will get 2 hours to complete each exam.

For UPSC NDA 2026, the Mathematics paper will carry 300 marks, while the General Ability Test will carry 600 marks. The SSB interview will carry 900 marks. Negative marking will be applicable for all objective-type questions in both the UPSC CDS and NDA 2026 exams.
