UPSC CAPF registration 2024 ends today; 506 vacancies to be filled

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration window for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination 2024 today, May 14. Interested candidates who have not yet applied can fill the UPSC CAPF 2024 application form through the official website, upsc.gov.in.

Following the registration deadline, the commission will open the UPSC CAPF application correction window 2024 on May 15. Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam will be able to make changes on the UPSC CAPF application form 2024 through the correction facility.

Candidates will have use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to make corrections on the UPSC CAPF 2024 application form. Candidates will be able to edit UPSC CAPF applications till May 21, 2024.

UPSC CAPF 2024 vacancy details

The UPSC CAPF recruitment drive 2024 aims to fill up a total of 506 vacancies in the department. Of which 186 vacancies are for BSF, 120 for CRPF, 100 for CISF, 58 for ITBP and 42 for SSB.

  • Boarder Security Force (BSF): 186 vacancies
  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 vacancies
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 vacancies
  • Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 vacancies
  • Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42

UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be Indian citizens. Non-citizens will be appointed only after the Central government signifies its consent in writing. Interested candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute to apply for UPSC CAPF recruitment 2024. Apart from this, the age limit of candidates should be between 20 to 25 years as on August 1, 2024.

Male candidates belonging to general category have to pay Rs 200 as UPSC CAPF application fees. While females, SC, ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
