NEW DELHI - The Union Public Service Commision is now conducting the UPSC IAS 2021 exam in two shifts. Paper 1 of the UPSC civil services exam is being held from 9:30 a.m onwards. Candidates arrived at the test centre of the UPSC IAS exam well ahead of the scheduled time as they had to undergo the mandatory checking of the documents along with the admit card.

Those candidates who were without the masks, they were not permitted to appear for the UPSC exam 2021. At the test centres candidates were seen cooperating with the guard at the time of frisking.However, some of the candidates faced problems in keeping their bags as there was no baggage counter.

Late comers not allowed

Candidates who arrived late at the UPSC exam centre, they were not allowed to appear for the exam.

Follow the instructions on the OMR sheet

Candidates had to clearly mention their UPSC IAS roll number on the OMR. Any kind of mistake while writing the roll number of UPSC civil services exam 2021 would result in the cancellation of the candidature.

Use Black Ball Point Pen to answer the questions

Candidates must mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet of UPSC civil services prelims exam by using black pen.

Sanitisation at the test centre

The commission took all possible steps to ensure that the desks, tables, exam halls were properly sanitised in wake of the prevailing situation of COVID 19.

Negative Marking

Candidates are expected to answer the questions in the UPSC prelims 2021 exam as they will lose marks if they answer it incorrectly.

Not permitted to leave UPSC IAS test centre before exam ends

Once the candidates had made their way to the test centre, they were not permitted to leave it before 11:30 a.m. Even if the candidates had finished their exam before time, they would be permitted to exit only after 11:30 a.m
