As per UPSC exam review given by various other students, some found he CSAT question paper difficult. It was time consuming. Few of them also suggested that the CSAT paper was inspired by JEE mains/advance. Students said that qualifying CSAT will be daunting task for aspirants. The math in CSAT was unpredictable. Now aspirants will have to take CSAT seriously, said a student.
As per the UPSC exam review of GS paper 1, students said that questions on current affairs were very less, there were 3 questions from sports which is a first time in nearly 2 decades. Questions were from WTC, summer Olympics. Polity and Economic had conceptual questions, too many questions were from biodiversity, ecology, microbiology, technology and viruses and vaccines. There were no map based questions and international affairs. A student even went on to give UPSC a new short form - unpredictable public service commission.

According to a tweet by DD News Mizoram, UPSC IAS prelims exam 2021 was successfully conducted at three centres of Aizawl. A total number of 482 candidates have appeared in the UPSC IAS 2021 exam today at Aizawl centres. This year, 967 candidates have been registered for the UPSC IAS 2021 exam from Mizoram region.

As per the Civilsdaily, which is India’s a government exam mentoring platform the UPSC exam review was toughness just like previous year. As per the UPSC exam review, there were factual questions, the expected cutoff can be close to 95. 3 questions were from Sports, which was a first in the last 20 years.
There direct questions from Polity NCERT (Class 11th and 12th. eg: Constitutional government, Constitutional status of India in 1950, Devi Lal, essential features that indicates India's federal character.
According to the UPSC exam review, there were questions from medieval history where 9 questions were there.
Questions from environment had a bent towards traditional knowledge. Basic understanding of phylum's, symbiotic relationships etc has more focus.
More focus on UNEP, UNFCCC etc.
Science Technology were seemed to be inspired from current affairs. The questions checked aspirants, fundamental understanding in types of viruses, bacteria, recombinant vector vaccines etc.
The overall UPSC exam review said that paper was on similar lines compared to last year. It was a factual paper. Almost 1/3rd the questions were tough. While the economy, modern history and Polity questions were doable if you have studied the standard sources, on the other hand, the majority of Environment, Science, Medieval and Ancient history Questions were tough as they were not from the standard sources and required both conceptual clarity and the application of intelligent guessing. Civilsdaily believe that the cut off will be a little higher this year compared to last year as the number of seats has reduced from 796 to 712.
UPSC has conducted the UPSC IAS 2021 prelims exam for the first time in Leh Ladakh. A total number of 163 out of 492 candidates appeared at Leh centre of UPSC IAS 2021.

There was no substantial change in the UPSC civil services exam pattern and the total number of questions that were asked were almost similar as compared to last year in both the papers. However the candidates found the UPSC question paper as moderately difficult.
Candidates who have appeared in todays' UPSC civil services exam 2021, they can check the UPSC answer key that has been taken out for Paper 1 and paper 2. This will help the candidates to analyse how much they would score.
The overall UPSC exam review was moderate to difficult level. The GS paper 1 was dynamic in nature while the paper 2 was a lot difficult as compared to previous year CSAT paper. The UPSC CSE prelims result is expected to be declared in November last week of mid December. As the UPSC CSE mains exam date are already out, we can expect the prelims result to be declared soon. Candidate qualifying in the prelims result as per the result will be eligible to appear in the UPSC CSE mains exam which will be held in descriptive mode.
As per the UPSC CSE 2021 schedule, the results will be declared for the prelims stage, which will be followed by the detailed application form (DAF), aspirants who qualify in the UPSC CSE 2021 prelims will have to fill the UPSC CSE 2021 DAF before appearing in the mains exam. The UPSC CSE 2021 mains exam is scheduled to be held at January 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2022.

The CSAT qualifying marks in UPSC is 33%. In order to qualify in the UPSC CSAT paper, aspirants must have solved at least 30+ questions correctly. This will increase their chances of qualification in the UPSC CSE prelims and will make them eligible to appear in the mains exam.
As expected from UPSC, the UPSC CSAT paper was difficult. The question tested aspirants logical ability, reasoning, comprehension skills, data interpretation, thinking, skills etc. The unofficial UPSC prelims answer key will be released shortly.
UPSC will release the official answer key for CSAT 2021 paper 2 after the complete recruitment process is over. As per the reviews received by candidates who appeared in the exam, the exam was of moderate to difficult level and the expected cut off as shared by the candidates can be around 85 to 90 for GS 1, in GS 2 there is no cut off as it is qualifying in nature, out of the 80 questions asked in the exam, if aspirants attempt close to 30 exams successfully, they will qualify in the exam.
The UPSC CSAT paper 2 got successfully conducted. The topics from which the CSAT 2021 questions were asked were Logical reasoning, decision making and problem-solving, reasoning, logical analytics etc. Majority of candidates said that the CSAT 2021 was of difficult level.

The qualifying marks in the CSAT 2021 is 33%. There is no cut off in it as compared to GS 1. The overall CSAT 2021 analysis is mentioned below -
Kirti Raj, from Ghaziabad said that the paper was pretty tough and was difficult as compared to previous year. Each sections were equally covered. The difficulty level was however enhanced to previous year. Whether it is aptitude, reasoning etc. the coverage was equally to all sections. The expected cut off for GS 1 can be 90-100 and CSAT is qualifying. Candidates can study by self it is sufficient.
Some students said that the UPSC CSAT paper 1 was tricky and the questions were time consuming. There was negative marking in UPSC prelim CSAT paper. The questions in UPSC prelim CSAT paper were from comprehension, passage, logical reasoning etc.
The analysis for the UPSC prelims question paper for CSAT is now out. As per the reviews coming out from the exam centre, from the candidates who appeared in the CSAT, the second shift was moderate to difficult level. Karan Sachdeva said, the questions were from aptitude, reasoning, comprehension. The passages were a mix of variety. Most questions were from environment and geography and reading comprehension. Out of 80, I think 50 were comprehension. The expected cut off can be 66.
The UPSC prelims paper for GS 2 is over successfully and aspirants are seen coming out of the exam hall. The GS paper 2 was conducted from 2:30 pm and ended at 4:30 pm. This was the last exam of today. Earlier, in the day, the UPSC CSE GS paper 1 was conducted. The overall difficulty level of the GS paper 1 was moderate to difficult level.

The UPSC prelims paper 2 has ended. The gates of the exam centre have been opened for aspirants to come out. Students are seeing in a hurry looking for transport like auto, rickshaws and booking cabs. Those who were accompanied by their guardians were seen leaving the exam centre.

The UPSC mains exam will be held on January 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2022. The UPSC mains exam will be conducted for 9 papers, out of which 7 will be routine papers including GS 1, 2, 3 and 4, Essay, English language, compulsory local language and 2 from optional subjects. As the UPSC civil services prelims exam is going on, candidate might be interested in knowing the salary that a civil servant will get. As mentioned in the official notification, a civil servant will get a salary of Rs. 56100, and also get other benefits, allowances, reimbursements etc. Along with the salary and benefits, they are also entitled to a government accommodation, government vehicle, house staff, office staff, education leave and foreign tour as well as India tour reimbursements.
As per the exam pattern of the UPSC IAS, there are two papers in the UPSC prelims exam. The first paper, GS 1 is conducted in shift 1, while the second paper, GS 2 is conducted in shift 2. The GS question paper has questions from current affairs, history, polity, geography etc.
The second paper has questions from data interpretation, reasoning, logical analysis, graphs, charts, mathematics etc. Both these questions are conducted on OMR-sheet based offline mode. Currently the GS paper 2 is going on and will end at 4:30 pm, earlier in the day, the GS paper 1 was conducted from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
The UPSC civil services prelims exam for the CSAT paper 2 has started. The UPSC civil services prelims exam paper 2 is being conducted in OMR-sheet based offline mode. Aspirants will have to mark correct answers in the OMR-sheet. The UPSC civil services prelims exam CSAT paper 2 will be over at 4:30 pm, which will officially end the UPSC prelims exam recruitment process.
Closed gates of an exam centre
The UPSC civil services prelims exam centre gates will be closed 10 minutes before the exam commences, that is at 2:20 pm. The guards will announce about the entry gates closure, hence UPSC aspirant must be near the exam centre and not very far. Students who are late won't be given a chance to appear in the exam hence, they must be on their toes near the gates. The UPSC civil services exam 2021 admit card will be checked at the entrance along with photo ID.
The UPSC CSAT paper 2 also known as the general studies paper 2 will begin soon. The entry has started as the gates are open. Aspirants who appeared in the paper 1 can appear in the paper 2 at the same exam centre. This time also they will have to showcase their admit card, valid photo ID and will be given the OMR based answer sheet to fill the choose the correct answer to the questions of the exam.
The UPSC paper 2 will start soon. The UPSC exam timing for paper 2 is 2.30. As soon as the exam concludes, the UPSC exam analysis will be available with mention of the difficulty levels of the papers. As the UPSC civil services exam for paper 2 exam is to begin shortly, the questions will be from subjects such as - Comprehension, Interpersonal skills, communication skills, Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
Along with these, the questions will also be from decision-making and problem-solving, General mental ability, numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude as well as charts, tables, graphs, data sufficiency etc. The difficulty level of the question paper will be of class 10 level.
UPSC will start conducting the CSAT paper of the UPSC prelims exam soon. As per the UPSC exam review, the paper 1 was moderate to tough, so aspirants might be having high expectations from CSAT, as it is a scoring exam and the questions are generally static types. The UPSC paper 2021 for the CSAT will be conducted from 2:30 pm and will end at 4:30 pm.
Chandrashekhar Bharti said that the over difficulty level was tough this time, it was very tough. The expected cut off will remain between 90-95. The questions were covered from all the sections, polity, Indian geography, environment, ecology etc. There were no discrepancies in the question papers and the given options, all the COVID-19 guidelines were followed at the exam center.

Leading coaching institutes and preparation websites will release the UPSC today exam answer key by late evening or tomorrow. The unofficial answer key will be based on the reviews and feedbacks received by candidates who appeared in the civil services exam today.

UPSC CSAT question paper consists of 80 questions and the time allotted is 2 hours Each question carries 2.5 marks and there is negative marking as well. The questions will be based on comprehension, logical reasoning and ability, data sufficiency, graphs and charts etc. CSAT has placed students on a level playing field, it brings in a sense of equality whether one is from any background engineering or humanities, all have to be at the same level to answer CSAT.

The UPSC exam for the prelims stage is scheduled to be conducted in a while. While appearing in the exam, aspirants are advised to to stay calm and show patience while answering the questions. As per the IAS admit card 2021, the first session is paper 1. The UPSC IAS paper 1 is the general studies paper 1 which will have questions from general studies, current affairs, Indian polity, history, geography etc and will be dynamic in nature.
The UPSC IAS total number of questions in session 1 will be 100. Candidates must try to answer those questions in the UPSC civil services prelims exam about which they are confident or else they will lose marks since there is negative marking. According to the marking scheme in the UPSC IAS 2021 exam, one-third of the marks assigned to that particular question will be deducted as a penalty.
According to the UPSC CSE exam pattern, there will be two papers and both of them will be of two hours each. Candidates will have to answer multiple choice questions and for every wrong answer 1/3rd marks (0.33 marks) will be deducted.
The Commission determines the cutoff for both the papers, based on which, those candidates who meet the UPSC IAS cutoff, qualify for the next stage of the selection process.
