UPSC rejects Combined Geo-Scientist 2025 applications of 4 candidates due to non-payment of fee

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has rejected the application form of the Combined Geo-Scientist prelims exam 2025 of four candidates due to non-payment of the examination fee. The commission has asked such candidates to appeal against the rejection of their application forms by October 14. The list of candidates with fictitious fee is available on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The commission said that it did not receive confirmation from the bank authorities regarding the receipt of Rs 200 from four applicants of UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist 2025 exam including Manish Sharmatest, Samarjit Biswal, Karantest, Mohit.

“In terms of the provisions contained in the “Commission‘s Notice No. 01/2025-GEOL dated 04/09/2024, applications of these Four candidates for the said examination have been rejected by the Commission. E-mail in this regard will also be sent to the candidates soon,” said UPSC in an official notification.

The listed candidates can make an appeal against the application rejection by providing the documents for evidence through speed post or by hand only to Uma Menon, under secretary, UPSC.

Applicants will need to submit the original hard copy of the following documents:

  • Bank-pay-in-slip if the candidate has paid the fee through the cash mode in the State Bank of India or designated banks.
  • A copy of debit card or credit card or bank account statement if candidate had paid the fee through debit card or credit card or internet banking of authorized banks.

“Appeal against such rejection should be received in the Commission’s office latest by 14/10/2024. Applications will be revived, if otherwise eligible, on receipt of documentary proof of genuine fee payment,” UPSC stated further.
