UPSC CSE 2025: Fill application form on upsc.gov.in; steps to apply, OTR registration

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the application process for the UPSC Civil Service Examination (UPSC CSE 2025) today January 22, 2025. Candidates can now apply online for the UPSC CSE 2025 through the official website at upsc.gov.in.

The last date for application is February 11, 2025. Candidates will have to apply online and register for a time registration (OTR) platform accessible on the official website and then proceed to fill out the UPSC CSE 2025 prelims application form.

OTR can be done only once in a lifetime and at any time throughout the year. However, candidates who already have one-time registration (OTR) credentials can proceed straightaway to fill out the UPSC CSE 2025 online application form.

As per the UPSC CSE 2025 prelims exam calendar, the application form correction window will open from February 12 to 18, 2025. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the UPSC CSE exam. The UPSC CSE prelims exam will be held on May 25, 2025.

Candidates from general, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 which can be paid online through debit or credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, cash cards, or mobile wallets.

To apply for the UPSC CSE 2025 exam candidates must have a valid email ID and mobile number, scanned photograph, and signature as per the dimensions mentioned by the UPSC, and a valid photo ID card, etc.

How to fill UPSC CSE prelims application form 2025?

Given below are the steps to apply for UPSC CSE application form 2025.

• Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

• Navigate the ‘What's New’ section on the home page and click on the ‘Exam Notification-Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025’ link available.

• A new window will appear on the screen.

• Click on the link available under the ‘Link’ tab.

• Candidates are advised to read the official notification thoroughly before filling the application form 2025.

• A new page will appear.

• Click on the ‘OTR link’ available on the web page if applicants have not completed the ‘One Time Registration.’ Candidates will have to complete OTR by providing some basic personal information.

• Login by using valid login credentials email ID and OTP and password, or through mobile number and OTP and password, or by OTR ID and OTP or password.

• Complete the application form.

• Upload documents all the required documents.

• Pay the UPSC CSE 2025 application fee.

• Check all the details and submit the application form.

• Download and save the confirmation page for your reference.
