NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the UPSC Civil Service Exam (UPSC CSE) prelims exam 2024 today, June 16, in offline mode.The UPSC IAS 2024 prelims exam is conducted in 80 cities across India. The total duration of the UPSC CSE exam is 4 hours where 2 hours is allotted for one paper.
Before appearing for the IAS 2024 exam, candidates need to keep some points/guidelines in mind. The UPSC CSE 2024 exam guidelines can help the candidates to avoid any hassles on the exam day. UPSC has released a press note on their official website where all the guidelines related to the examination are present.
Any discrepancy with the UPSC IAS e-admit card should be brought to notice immediately to the commission at uscsp-upsc@nic.in. They are also required to ensure that the details in the IAS admit card match with the details in the photo ID.

A good revision before the UPSC IAS exam will help in boosting the confidence level of the candidates. Any last-minute study will only lead to increased pressure during the IAS 2024 exam. So, it is better to revise the topics, which they are more familiar with.
The important instructions listed in the IAS 2024 admit card should be read carefully by the candidates before attempting the exam.
Candidates with a print out of the e-admit card and a valid photo ID will be allowed to the UPSC IAS 2024 exam centre.
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the examination as the venue will be closed 30 minutes before the IAS exam 2024 commences.
Candidates are advised not to carry any valuable items such as phones, digital watches, books,etc as the UPSC IAS exam centres do not provide the facility to keep candidates’ belongings. Keep the necessary items such as admit card, photo ID, pen, pencil, etc handy to avoid last-minute hassle.
