Even five days before the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)’s Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) for vacancies in the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), the UPSC EPFO admit cards are not out, resulting in a commotion amongst the candidates. Disappointed over the delay, some aspirants are now demanding exam postponement.

UPSC EPFO exam 2025 is scheduled for November 30 for recruitment to 156 vacancies in the post of enforcement officer or accounts officer, and 74 vacancies in the post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC). The exam will be held for a duration of two hours, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The general ability test will comprise objective type questions carrying a total of 300 marks. There will be negative marking and every wrong answer will cost the candidate a loss of one-third of the assigned marks.

As per the UPSC official notice, “e-Admit cards of the candidates of a commission’s examination will be released 5 days prior to the date of examination.”

Candidates hit out at the commission for the delayed UPSC EPFO hall ticket, saying that they need time to plan the travel and accommodation.

Seeking exam postponement, a distressed aspirant said in a post on X, “Sir, UPSC EPFO APFC/EO-AO exam is on 30th November, only 5 days are left but admit cards have not been released yet. It is impossible to get confirmed train tickets and accommodation now. Thousands of candidates are in distress. Kindly postpone the exam.”

Another aspirant criticised the commission and demanded immediate release of the hall tickets. They wrote, “The EPFO exam is on November 30 but still no admit cards. This isn’t a surprise test. Students need time to plan travel and logistics. Release the hall tickets already.”

“The exam for UPSC EPFO/APFC is scheduled for 30th November 2025 and there's no update about the admit card. As a responsible body, you have seen the irregularities in other exams and issues of far distance,” a candidate earlier said.

In a long post, an examinee explained the logistical issues caused by the delayed admit cards, calling out UPSC for ‘traumatising’ candidates. “You may be aware of the issues of transportation and logistics that people face in this country due to less resources and availability. You can't get the ticket in a day or easily for any location. Not everyone can afford a personal vehicle for flights or stay,” he posted.

“This is absolutely unacceptable that the aspirants are always made to wait and out into external traumas and pressure. Surprised that UPSC is not aware about the financial conditions of the aspirants and yet they choose to traumatize this way.”
