NEW DELHI: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has issued the admit card for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) preliminary 2023 exam today, January 27, 2023. UPSC ESE 2023 admit card has been issued on the official website – UPSC ESE 2023 will be conducted on February 19, 2023.

“The Commission has uploaded the e-Admit Cards of the admitted candidates on its website ( The admitted candidates are advised to download their e-Admit Cards for the Examination and take a printout thereof,” said UPSC in an official notification.

Steps to download UPSC ESE 2023 admit card

  • Visit the official website of UPSC –
  • On the homepage, under the ‘What's new’ section, click on the link ‘e-Admit card: Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023”
  • Read the important instructions, print, and click on ‘yes’ at the bottom of the screen
  • Login by either registration ID or by roll number
  • UPSC ESE 2023 admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download the admit card and take a print out

UPSC ESE 2023 candidates will have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Card at the allotted exam centre on the examination day with the proof of Identity (as entered in online application) such as aadhaar card, voter card, PAN card, passport, driving licence or any other photo ID card issued by the state or central government.

“In case, photograph is not visible or available on the e-Admit Card, candidates are advised to carry two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each Session) alongwith the printout of e-Admit Card at the Venue of the Examination for appearing at the Examination with an undertaking. No paper Admit Card will be issued for the Examination by the Commission,” UPSC further stated.

The commission informed candidates that entry to the exam centre will close 10 minutes before the exam – 9:50 am for the forenoon session and 1:50 pm for the evening session exam. Candidates are advised to bring black boll point pen. Wearing a mask is mandatory and candidates will not be allowed to carry any digital device with them on the exam day.
