UPSC IES, ISS 2024 on June 21, 22, 23; schedule, subject-wise timings

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the schedule for the Indian Economic Services and Indian Statistical Services examinations 2024. The exams will be held on June 21 in multiple shifts for different subjects. Candidates who applied for the tests can check the UPSC IES 2024 and UPSC ISS 2024 exam schedule on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The commission will conduct the exams to fill up a total of 48 vacancies including 18 vacancies in the Indian Economic Service and 30 vacancies in the Indian Statistical Service.

The UPSC IES, ISS 2024 exams will be held in two parts. Part 1 will be a written exam carrying a total of 1,000 marks while part 2 will be a viva voce of 200 marks for candidates selected in part 1.

The commission informed that the Statistics I and II papers will contain objective type questions. Statistics III and IV will comprise descriptive type questions having short answer or Small

Problems Questions (50%) and long answer and comprehension problem questions

(50%). At least one short answer and one long answer question from each section is compulsory. In Statistics-IV, there will be seven sections and candidates will have to choose any two sections. The General English and General Studies papers and all others will be subjective.
