Vellore Institute of Technology will start the classes for AICTE approved two-year MBA, MSc DS and MCA programmes on April 14.

NEW DELHI: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has launched three online programmes – Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Data Science (MSc DS) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The two-year postgraduate degree programmes are University Grants Commission (UGC) entitled and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Students selected for the VIT online MBA programme will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,60,000 while those opting for MSc Ds and MCS will have to deposit Rs 1,50,00 and Rs 1,40,000 fee, respectively. The online classes will start on August 14. Students completing the degree programmes will receive the VIT alumni status and have access to exclusive VIT alumni events and networking opportunities.
The MBA programme has been designed for early to mid-level working professionals who want to improve their managerial skills and transition to senior roles. The curriculum will cover topics such as managerial economics, data analytics, operations management, business analysis and valuation, security analysis, and portfolio management.
MSc Data Science has been designed for professionals working in data science, analytics and the IT industries. They should have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, statistics, engineering, or technology. This programme is also suitable for new graduates with bachelor’s degrees or entry-level professionals in non-data science roles, the VIT said.

The online MCA programme has been designed for software engineers, developers and consultants; web designers and developers; app developers; full stack engineers; front-end developers; software architects; and other professionals in digital technology roles. The curriculum includes a choice of electives to help learn about trending technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), blockchain, cybersecurity, AR/VR and big data.
