NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will declare the seat allotment result for the mop-up round of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) counselling 2024 today, August 9. Candidates who participated in the counselling will be able to download the WBJEE seat allotment result 2024 by visiting the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.

As per the counselling schedule, candidates are required to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted college for document verification between August 9 and August 12. The seat acceptance fee is Rs 5,000 which can be paid via credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking.

WBJEE Counselling 2024: Mop-up round allotment rules

  • The counselling authority said that if a candidate is allotted a new seat in the mop-up round, their previous seat, if any, will be automatically cancelled, and the vacant seat will be allotted to other deserving candidates. The candidate cannot claim their earlier seat back.
  • If the candidate has paid the seat acceptance fee in any previous round and a new seat is allotted in the mop-up round, the seat acceptance fee paid by them will be considered for the new Institute.
  • There will be only one mop-up round and it will be the last and final round of WBJEE 2024 counselling conducted by WBJEEB. Thereafter, WBJEEB will hand over the custody of all vacant seats to the concerned authority for appropriate action at their end.
  • Applicants who did not complete admission in round 1 or round 2 (for allotment being cancelled during document verification or being allotted in second or later choices) and thus were eligible for the mop-up round, get an allotment, they will be required to complete the admission procedure (PI reporting) at the newly allotted Institute within the stipulated schedule.
  • Students who have got a fresh allotment in the mop-up Round, must pay the seat acceptance fee, if not paid earlier, and download the allotment letter. Thereafter, the candidate will report to the allotted Institute for physical verification of documents. If the documents are accepted, they must complete the admission process within the given deadline.
