WBJEE JECA, JELET 2024 response sheet objection window closes today; challenge fee

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will close the the objection window for response sheets for JECA and Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry (JELET) 2024 exams today, July 21. Candidates who appeared for the exams can challenge the JECA and JELET response sheet 2024 by visiting the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their captured responses can claim for review up to 11:59 pm. Candidates will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 500 per response to raise grievances against the responses. The objection fee has to be submitted online through net banking or debit card or credit card.

“The board informed that in case of category 1 questions (where only one option is correct), the response is shown as A or B or C or D. Unattended questions are marked as “-”. If multiple answers are given, the response is shown as “”. In case of category 2 questions (where one or more options are correct), the response is shown as “A, B, C, D” etc.” the official notice read.

JECA, JELET 2024 marking scheme

JECA paper will consist of two categories - Category - 1 and 2. Category 1 will comprise 1 mark question and -1/4 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. The questions in Category II will consist of 20 questions for 2 marks.

JELET Category 1 - Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. A quarter of a point(1/4) will be deducted for every wrong response.

Category 2: Marking all correct options will earn 2 marks in. If any combination of answers contains one or more incorrect options, the answer is considered incorrect and yields zero.
