Download NowNEW DELHI: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has almost completed the evaluation process for the Madhyamik, Class 10 exam, and the result is expected to be announced by May-end, according to a WBBSE official. Over 90% of the Madhyamik exam papers were submitted to the board, and the rest papers will be submitted by next week, as per the official. "The evaluation process is almost done, and the students can expect their results by the last week of May. If delayed, the Class 10 result will be announced in the first week of June," the board official told Careers360.

WBBSE began Class 10 Madhyamik exam 2022 from March 7. This year, a total of 11,18,821 students appeared for the exam including 6,21,931 girls and 4,96,890 boys.
The West Bengal government had decided to temporarily suspend internet services on the days of Class 10 state board examination in some areas of the state to stop cheating, an official said.
The move was necessitated in the wake of reports of purported leak of question papers via social media platforms from some exam centres in several districts including Malda and Murshidabad within an hour of commencement of exams in 2019 and 2020, an official of WBBSE told PTI.

Amid the internet ban, a purported image of the Class 10 English question paper had appeared on social media around an hour ahead of the scheduled start of the exam. Denying that the question paper was leaked, WBBSE had said that the paper which was circulated on social media was fake as it has no resemblance with the original one.
Earlier today, a West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) official said that the board has started the evaluation process of the Class 12 HS exam papers. "It will take a month to complete the evaluation process, and the result can be expected in June," the official added.
