West Bengal govt raises monthly remuneration of para, special teachers under school education dept, PM POSHAN

The monthly remuneration of para-teachers at the primary level was increased to Rs 16,941, while the monthly pay for para-teachers at the upper primary level was raised to Rs 20,523.
The Government of West Bengal has increased the monthly remuneration of para-teacher, special teachers, Shiksha Bandhu, and other contractual workers under the school education directorate and the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN).
The raise in the monthly remuneration for the contractual workers belonging to the categories under PBSSM (Paschim Banga Samagra Shiksha Mission), PBRSSM (Paschim Banga Rajya Shishu Shiksha Mission), School Education Directorate and PM-POSHAN was approved by the Governor of West Bengal.
According to the official notification, the monthly remuneration of para-teachers at the primary level was increased by Rs 5,000 from Rs 11,941 to Rs 16,941. The monthly pay for para-teachers at the upper primary level was revised from Rs 15,523 to Rs 20,523.
The remuneration for the special teachers was also increased by Rs 5,000 from Rs 14,924 to Rs 19,924, while Shiksha Bandhu will receive Rs 14,954 per month, up from Rs 9,954.

Moreover, the West Bengal government has also raised the monthly remuneration of management staff under the PBSSM. For those receiving up to Rs 25,000 per month will get an increase of Rs 5,000, while those earning over Rs 25,000 and up to Rs 40,000 will receive a Rs 7,000 raise.
Those receiving over Rs 40,000 and up to Rs 55,000, will now get Rs 10,000 increase, as per the official notice. The assistant or assistant teachers of Shishu Shiksha Kendra under the PBRSSM, will now receive Rs 16,941 from Rs 11,941 remuneration.
The instructors or assistant instructors of Madhyamik Shiksha Kendra will receive Rs 15,523 to Rs 20,523. The monthly pay of heads of Madhyamik Shiksha Kendra was increased by Rs 6,000 from Rs 16, 178 to Rs 22, 178.
In addition, the academic supervisors will now receive Rs 18,781 per month, an increase from Rs 13,781, while district programme managers will receive Rs 25,692, compared with Rs 19,692 earlier.
The remuneration of PA-cum-DEO under the PBRSSM was increased from Rs 14,774 to Rs 19,774. For contractual teachers for selected subjects at the higher secondary level under the school education directorate, the pay was raised from Rs 15,218 to Rs 20,218.
The government has also increased the monthly remuneration of education volunteers under the PM POSHAN programme from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000.
