WBBSE may revise West Bengal Madhyamik exam dates 2027 due to census field operations

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced revised dates for West Bengal Madhyamik, or WB Class 10 board exams 2027. The proposal comes due to the West Bengal census 2027 operations, which are structured across multiple phases in the state.

West Bengal board will conduct WB Class 10 board exams 2027 from March 2 to 16. Earlier, WB 10th board exams 2027 were scheduled from February 15 to 25.

"This is a proposal. Nothing has been finalised yet. As teachers who will conduct exams will have to be deployed for the enumeration exercise in February," WB Board president Laltu Das said.

The Census exercise will begin on January 25 next year and continue until February 28.

The WB Madhyamik examinations will be held in pen-and-paper format, with one subject scheduled per day. Students will be allotted 15 minutes before each exam begins to read the question paper.

The West Bengal Board has stated that the duration of certain vocational and specialised optional elective examinations may differ. Depending on the subject, these papers may end anytime between 12:30 pm and 3 pm.
