As per recent trends, the JEE Main syllabus is expected to remain unchanged from the previous year. The JEE Main syllabus was revised in both 2024 and 2025, though the extent and nature of the revisions differed.

In 2024, the testing agency introduced a major reduction of nearly 15% in the overall syllabus to align it more closely with the NCERT curriculum. Several topics and entire units were removed from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while a few new topics were added to the Physics section.

In 2025, the JEE Main syllabus changes were comparatively limited, with minor updates such as the removal of Mathematical Induction and parts of Three-Dimensional Geometry in Mathematics, along with selected deletions in Physics and Chemistry.

Last year, the JEE main exam pattern also returned to the pre-pandemic format, featuring mandatory numerical questions and no optional choices in section B. Overall, the JEE Main syllabus retained around 85% of the previous year’s content, reflecting a more streamlined structure for exam preparation.

The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions in January and April. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 will be held from January 21 to 30, while the session 2 exam will be conducted from April 1 to 10.
