XAT 2025 exam today for 1.42 lakh candidates; things to carry, exam-day instructions

NEW DELHI: The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025 will be conducted today, January 5. XLRI Jamshedpur will hold the entrance exam for 1.42 lakh candidates in more than 134 examination cities across India. XAT 2025 exam timings are 2 pm to 5 pm. Students appearing for the XAT exam 2025 are required to carry XAT 2025 admit card to the examination hall along with a photo identity card. XAT admit card 2025 can be downloaded from the official website, xatonline.in.

XAT 2025 exam will be held in online mode. The XAT 2025 question paper will comprise four sections- Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA and LR), Decision-making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA and DI), General Knowledge (GK).

In a major rejig, 34 new exam cities have been added to the list XAT exam centres 2025 and examinees have been allowed to use scientific calculators. Additionally, the GK section will now consist of 20 questions and the exam will be structured into two separate parts – part 1 will last 170 minutes, while part 2 will be a 10-minute segment for GK, as per revised paper pattern.

XAT 2025: Things to carry

Candidates will have to bring the following items to the exam centre on the day of exam:

• XAT 2025 admit card
• One passport-size photograph
• One valid photo ID such as PAN card, Aadhar card, driving license, or passport.
• Disability certificate (If required)

XAT 2025: Exam-day guidelines

Examinees are advised to follow these guidelines before attending the XAT 2025 exam:

• Arrive at the XAT 2025 exam centre at least one hour before the exam begins.
• Bring a hard copy of your XAT admit card for 2025. If the photo on the admit card is blurry, carry a self-attested photograph.
• Candidates are not allowed to bring any textual materials, printed sheets, electronic devices, or similar items into the exam.
• If a candidate is caught using unfair means, their nomination will be revoked. Depending on the severity of the violation, candidates may be banned from taking future examinations for a specified period or indefinitely.
• Candidates are not allowed to leave the exam centre till the examination is complete.
• Persons with disabilities (PWD) must present their original disability certificate as proof.
