CAT 2024: Cutoff for top IIMs with NIRF rankings; expected cutoff for IITs

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 for over 3 lakh candidates on November 24, 2025. Candidates who qualified for the CAT exam will be able take admission to top IIMs or MBA colleges according to the CAT scores and selection procedure of the institute.

Candidates having an IIM cutoff of 95-100 percentile will be further shortlisted for written ability tests and personal interview rounds. To get admission to the top IIMs in India, a cutoff score of 98-100 percentile is required. However, the IIM CAT cutoff for general category candidates is higher than CAT cutoff scores for OBC, SC, and ST categories as per the reservation policy.

IIMs declare the CAT cutoff based on their admission criteria and candidates get selected based on their performances. Around 1000+ business schools such as s IMT Ghaziabad, Great Lakes, MDI Gurgaon, and FMS Delhi accept CAT scores.
