XLRI invites applications for its 11-month CXO programme aimed at helping executives strengthen leadership, strategy, finance and growth management skills

XLRI Jamshedpur has started admissions for the fifth batch of its senior executive development programme in driving growth: The CXO programme. Offered through XLEAD (XLRI leadership education and development), the programme is aimed at senior professionals, business heads, directors and aspiring CXOs who are looking to strengthen their leadership capabilities and drive business growth.
The 11-month blended programme is designed to help executives sharpen their strategic thinking, improve financial decision-making, build digital readiness and enhance operational effectiveness. The focus is on helping leaders create sustainable growth strategies and navigate increasingly complex business environments.
The launch of the new batch comes at a time when companies are looking for leaders who can balance growth, innovation, governance and long-term value creation. Industry trends indicate that organisations are increasingly seeking executives who can combine business strategy with technological understanding and data-driven decision-making.
The programme is structured to help participants move beyond day-to-day execution and develop a broader perspective on business growth. It aims to equip leaders with the skills needed to identify new opportunities, respond to market shifts and steer organisations through uncertainty and disruption.

According to data cited by XLRI, CXO hiring in India grew by 9.5 per cent during FY25, reflecting strong demand for experienced leadership talent. At the same time, a Forbes survey found that more than eight in ten global leaders believe future C-suite executives need strong data interpretation skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including leadership, business strategy, digital transformation, finance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, go-to-market planning, operational excellence and business model design.
As part of the programme, participants will also develop a business plan outlining how they would achieve a specific growth target over the next five years. The exercise is intended to help learners apply classroom concepts to real-world business challenges.
The course will be delivered through a blended learning format, combining online classes with a five-day on-campus immersion at XLRI Jamshedpur. The campus component is expected to provide opportunities for interaction with faculty members, peer networking and engagement with industry experts.

Teaching will include live sessions, case studies, classroom discussions and practical exercises. Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate from XLRI Jamshedpur and XLEAD.
The executive education offerings are designed for working professionals who want to continue learning without taking a career break. The programmes are available in flexible formats, including online, blended and campus-based options, allowing participants to balance professional responsibilities with academic development.
Through these initiatives, the institute aims to support professionals in adapting to changing business realities while preparing for larger leadership roles in the future.
