Yuva Sangam 2026: Education ministry extends registration deadline for youth exchange programme to March 25

The education ministry has extended the registration deadline for Yuva Sangam Phase 6 to March 25, 2026. Interested candidates can apply for the youth exchange programme through the official website at ebsb.aicte-india.org.

Students from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS), members of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), young professionals from various sectors, including individuals aged between 19 and 30 years are eligible to apply for the Yuva Sangam youth exchange programme.

Those who will be selected for Yuva Sangan phase 6 will be sent to a paired state or union territory to spend five to seven days. During stay, the participants will participate in educational and cultural activities, and interact with local communities.

22 HEIs as Nodal Centres for Yuva Sangam 2026

They will also get a chance to learn about regional traditions, languages, cuisine, lifestyle, and development practices.

Notably, a total of 22 premier higher education institutions have been assigned as nodal centres to organise the exposure visits for the Yuva Sangam registered individuals.

Yuva Sangam is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. It is designed to promote “Unity in Diversity” by organising cultural exchange among youth across different states and union territories.

“The programme enables participants to engage in immersive exposure visits, offering a deeper understanding of India’s rich cultural and social diversity,” according to an official statement.

More than 46,000 registrations were recorded for Yuva Sangam phase 5. “Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications within the revised deadline to be part of this unique initiative aimed at fostering national integration and cultural understanding among the youth,” the statement reads.
