CSAB 2023 special round schedule announced; registration begins from August 3

Use NowNEW DELHI: The Central Seat Allocation Board has announced the schedule for the CSAB 2023 special round and accordingly the counselling process will begin from July 30. The interested candidates can register for CSAB 2023 special round on the official website – csab.nic.in.
Candidates will be allowed to submit an online request for restoring the category by July 31. The candidates will have to respond by August 31 regarding any queries raised on category restoration.

The CSAB 2023 will take for the seat allotment in the national institute of technologies (NITs), Indian institutes of information technologies (IIITs), the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology and other government funded technical institutes (GFTIs).
The vacancies left after the counselling process of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be displayed on August 3. On the same day, the registration, fee submission, and the choice-filling process for the CSAB special round 1 will begin. The process will end on August 7.
The candidates can fill the list of preferred institutes by August 8. The seat allotment result for CSAB 2023 special round 1 will be released on August 8. The process to opt for a seat or exit from the process will be from August 8 to August 11. The candidates will also have to report online with their documents for the review process during this time. The process for CSAB 2023 special round 2 will begin on August 13.
CSAB 2023 will conduct a separate CSAB Supernumerary round for admission to supernumerary seats in NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur and SVNIT Surat for candidates belonging to Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. CSAB Supernumerary round will start after the completion of CSAB Special Rounds.
