The existing fee amount is Rs 3,370 and after the relaxed fee is deducted from the existing amount the fee that students will have to pay is Rs 1,360.
In July a group of students from Delhi University protested, demanding to waive the non-academic fee owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and because students had not availed these services since March last year.
The Delhi University recently decided to reopen campuses from September 15. All students, teachers and non-teaching staff have to be vaccinated with both doses of COVID-19 vaccine before offline classes resume.
