JEE Advanced AAT 2025 exam today for BArch admissions; syllabus, topics asked

AAT 2025: Candidates are required to bring their own drawing and coloring aids, along with the JEE Advanced admit card 2025 to the exam centre. BArch entrance exam will be held from 9 am to 12 noon.

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will be held today for JEE Advanced qualified candidates seeking admission to BArch programme offered by t IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Roorkee. The JEE Advanced AAT 2025 exam will be conducted for a duration of three hours — from 9 am to 12 noon.

Candidates must carry the JEE Advanced admit card 2025 as there is no separate hall ticket for the AAT exam. They are also required to bring their own drawing and coloring aids. The Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced will decide the cut-off marks for passing AAT.

The JEE Advanced results 2025 for AAT will be declared on June 8 at 5 pm. Students who are appearing for the exam today will be able to check the marks and download scorecard through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.

Only those candidates who obtain the minimum passing marks or the cut-off set by the committee will be allowed to participate in the JoSAA counselling 2025. However, there will be no separate rank list for AAT.

“Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE (Advanced) 2025 and B. Arch. program will be offered only to those candidates declared PASS in the AAT,” it said.

Freehand drawing

  • Simple drawing depicting the total object in its right form and proportion, surface texture, relative location and details of its component parts in appropriate scale.

  • Common domestic or day-to-day life usable objects like furniture, equipment, etc., from memory

Geometrical drawing

  • Geometrical drawing containing lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, etc.

  • Study of plan (top view), elevation (front or side views) of simple solid objects like prisms, cones, cylinders, cubes, splayed surface holders.

Three-dimensional perception

  • Three-dimensional forms with building elements, colour, volume and orientation

Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity

  • Context mapping.

  • Creativity check through innovative uncommon tests with familiar objects.

  • Sense of colour grouping or application.

Architectural awareness

  • General interest and awareness of famous architectural creations – both national and international, places and personalities (architects, designers)
